Giuseppe Di Stefano Sings Three Songs

The clip below presents the late  great tenor singing three songs. His says that he’s going to sing thee Sicilian songs, but  the clip is obviously edited as he sings one Sicilian song, then a Spanish song, followed by a short version of “Core ‘ngrato”. Pippo was 28 when this performance was recorded. The pianist is Ivor Newton.

  1. Joe Sidney says:

Thanks for the great medicine,I was exposed to the sound of Caruso as a child, vaccinated with the Gigli virus via phonograph needle and still succumbed to a lifelong affliction of Di Stefanosis.I really appreciate your articles, you too sense the unique qualities which made him my favorite in person or on record.
